A great companion to the series |
|
I found this book highly readable, well-organised and indispensable as a guide to the series. If like me youve bought the first four seasons (and thats all thats been released at the time of writing), then this book serves as an inexpensive and thorough guide to keep by you as you watch and decide what episode to watch next! Another reviewer has said that the author is too opinionated - its true that he expresses his opinions, but it doesnt intrude too much on the informative tone of the book. Each episode is described in detail, broken down into logical sections that summarise each characters experiences and interactions during the show. An index might have helped, though knowing the SATC girls exploits it would be an interesting one! All in all, for the low price this book is well worth having, though if youre after pictures dont expect to find them in here. Kiss and Tell is fantastic for those, and it delves into the background of the programme in far greater detail. But Id recommend Manhattan Dating Game to any Sex and the City fan!

Unofficial, Un-good |

Aside from some interesting titbits in the trivia sections, this guide was, on the whole, lacking. It was too shallow a look at a great series, and towards the end it looked like he just couldnt be bothered, as the episode guides got smaller and smaller. Also the writer was a little too opinionated for my liking! Buy Kiss and Tell its much better.
